Biography:
My unique artistic vision derives primarily from being born, in 1985, with a lack of binocularity. This condition was corrected through an involved process of “vision training,” which instructed the muscles in both eyes to work together. *** The visual work I produce tends to possess a multi-layered or multi-dimensional quality so as to trigger the subconscious and to reflect that images are not singular, but connect us to the unified field, where everything overlaps in the ongoing vibrations of space and time. *** Because I adopted a second sight and I equate image creation with the distillation of our interior responses to external chaos, I focus primarily on the motif of orienting oneself along the spectrum of fantasy and reality. *** With artwork, film, and writing, I hope to produce honest and accessible reconciliations between the private and public self. *** Note: “Cyclometer” is an audiovisual installation that can be found here: http://www.vimeo.com/8562162 password: artistswanted
