How to Save Your Images for Upload:
With a few simple steps, you can convert your scanned images, digital camera photos, or other digital files into JPG format for uploading. JPG is a common standard format for displaying images on the Web.
To enter the competition all files must be in JPG format. No original or hard copies of art-work can be accepted. To submit sculpture work, paintings or other hard copies either take a digital photo or create a digital scan and follow the steps below to save your files in JPG format.
Option 1: Use Adobe Photoshop or Photoshop Elements to Save for Web.
- If you don't have Photoshop, download a free trial version on Adobe.com.
- Open your images in Photoshop.
- Resize your images to be less than 2,000 pixels by 2,000 pixels.
- Resizing is found under the "Image" menu, then click "Image Size".
- Next save your file by selecting the "File" menu then "Save for Web & Devices"
- The "Save for Web" interface pops up.
- In the right hand menu, next to "Preset:" select "JPG Medium".
- Click "Save" and write a simple file name with no spaces or special characters (i.e. art1.jpg, design2.jpg, etc.)
Option 2: Use the Online Image Converter.
- Click the link above to go to the online converter.
- On that page, click "Browse" to upload your file to convert.
- Be sure the "Output Format" is set to JPG.
- Click "Process and Send Result"
- Enter Your E-mail Address and click Start.
- Repeat with all files requiring JPG conversion.
- After a few minutes, you will get an e-mail with your converted files for download.
