For the first months at the start of this decade, Artists Wanted mounted an international search for the worlds most compelling Self Portraits. What was discovered is phenomenal. Artists from over 70 countries submitted work ranging from painting, to sculpture to performance to photographs. The range and depth of work was phenomenal and we are pleased to present the best of that process.
Friday, March 12th, from 7pm through 10pm,
you are invited to:
Self : Expressed
Open House Gallery 201 Mulberry St. in Manhattan. Featuring the work of Cheng-Chang Wu of Nan-Tou, Taiwan, winner of the latest inernational competition from Artists Wanted. Wu is an up-and-coming photographer working in Taiwan. His images are almost anti-self-portraits, relating his story more through context than through his own physical identity. His work is not digitally altered in any way; he uses light and exposure to acquire his unique images. We are proud to also present:
...and a special presentation of fashion by KRELwear.
Music by DJ Kimyon + Ice Sculpture by Joshua Kalin
