Biography:
I am a photographer/documentary filmmaker living in Williamsburg, NY. The photos which I have submitted for this contest were taken in 2006 during my process of editing a feature length documentary. The photos were taken once a day for nearly a year and served as a break from the stress of editing. I was living alone in a cabin in a remote area of Colorado and used the house and its contents as both props and backdrops for the photos. The idea was to take a different product each day and try to come up with a humorous interpretation of a potential advertisement. These photos were then sent out on a daily basis to an email list made up of people that I knew and people that I did not know. My hope was that my mood at the time would be translated into an image which they would enjoy becoming part of.
