Biography:
My photographic experience began more than 24 years ago, when I took what would be the first of many photography classes that started in junior high school, through to high school and all through my college years.rnMy work has varied over the years, from the landscape and found objects I did in my early years, to the journalistic photography I did in college to the toy camera photography I do today.rnI use film, it's what I know and love, I love anticipation of waiting for the results, and I love viewing my film through a loupe.rnI enjoy the challenge of using a toy camera; I feel that it makes me work harder for good photographs.rnThe four photographs I am submitting here are a part of a project I started two years ago. I find a lot of humor in these inflatable characters, I think they speak volumes about our consumer driven culture. Using a toy camera allows me to emphasize the humor in the in these gigantic characters.rn
