Brooklyn, NY
Biography:
I am an artist and writer living in New York City. I was playing dress up long before I understood the significance of the game of masquerade. To me, self portraits are a theatrical way of communicating parts of the self which might otherwise be withheld. Although I studied photography in college, it was the two years I spent working for David LaChapelle at his studio in LA that truly solidified my appreciation for the magic that happens not only behind, but in front of, the camera. I learned that the self can be used as a muse, for who else is more willing to execute an outlandish idea than the one who devised it to begin with. I take pictures, I am a writer, I am passionate in every endeavor that I pursue and so excited for what each day will bring that I often find it hard to sleep.
