Fulshear, Texas
Biography:
Eugenia Algaze Garcia combines imagination with reality in her artwork. Her balance between her right-brained fascination with nature and art combined with her left-brained background provides the stage as she strives to create "something to think about" through her unique Mindful Art. Eugenia works in acrylic, watercolor, and graphite in a variety of subjects, incorporating hidden images in most of her themes as she forms connections with each topic. The healing power of trees as they overcome their challenges and the life force of water are often incorporated in Garcia's artworks in introspective and meaningful expressions of her artistic journey. Like most of Eugenia's art, her self-portraits are riddled with symbolism.
Garcia's more than 40 years of artistic observations fuel her inspirations. Eugenia attributes her spirituality, supportive friends and family, her BBA in Accounting from Texas A&M, and MBA from UHCL for her confidence in aspiring toward her goals. She is a member of Katy Area Artists, National Society of Artists, The Arts Alliance Center at Clear Lake, the Galveston Art League, and the UHCL Art Association.
