Biography:
Approaching photography through precision and artistic means, Monica Hoover has been working as a freelance lifestyle and fashion photographer for the past decade.

Monica Hoover was born and raised in Erie, PA. She attended college at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA receiving her BFA: Photography Major, Architecture minor. Currently residing in San Diego, Hoover founded VOICE 1156 in July of 2004 that co-exists as a photography / design studio and fine urban art gallery.

Beyond lifestyle photography, Monica continues to make imagery that speaks to the masses. Creating imagery that reflects and contributes to the change of social consciousness. “To me – this aspect of creation is the most challenging – and it is one that I continually push myself to figure out." Animal rights enthusiast, and feminist at heart, she exercises and encourages the mantra, 'practice creative activism.'
