Biography:
My entire life was forever changed in a single moment one fateful morning in September of 2000. I woke up paralyzed at the young age of fourteen, which is not quite something many teens can relate to, and I often found myself sitting alone in my bedroom trying to deal with the pain and depression that came along with it. Naturally, each aspect of my life has been deeply affected by the unexpected loss of my legs; though for me, it became an extremely significant inspiration to create art. I have adored the arts since day one, but it was not until then that I really began to use art on a different level than most artists. Art allows me express the feelings about my little disadvantage that are held so tight within, not only because few can relate, but also because there are no words that can convey them correctly. Sometimes I don't even realize how much my work reflects my disability until I finish, step back, and take a look at it. Art is my ventilation, my sanity, especially during unbearable moments. In 2008, I graduated from The College of New Jersey with a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts, and I now do nothing but create and sell art on a daily basis. Art has slowly formed into a serious addiction, and I love the fact that I cannot get it out of my system. I would be nothing without my art, as well as the "handicap" that has led me to becoming the genuinely happy artist I am today.
