Batavia, IL
Biography:
I have been a photographer since I was old enough to hold a camera. At a very young age, I knew how to frame a shot without cutting peoples heads off or showing mostly sky. To me, it was a no brainer; but to many adults, it more than a struggle. As I grew older, I never left photography. I received an engineering degree from Purdue University and went into sales and project management. Even in those rolls, I always undertook the task of creating promotional literature and video for the companies who employed me. This saved my employers tens of thousands of dollars and allowed me to enjoy myself at a job that was, at times, tenuous. While always frustrated with the lack of creative solutions in the workplace, these jobs also gave me the opportunity to travel and further indulge my affection for photography. In 2008, I gladly left that world and in 2009, I became Director of Development for Water Street Studios in Batavia, Il. At Water Street, I had the opportunity to work with many professional photographers who work in a variety of styles. I am also being exposed to a wide variety of visual and performing arts. I want to continue to document the world around me as well as discuss with anyone around me arts and technology. Continually investigating where they converge, where they diverge and the space between. And yea...the blond kid is me.
