Biography:
I've had a camera in my hand since being a little girl and mailing my carefully counted Bazooka bubble gum wrappers in to earn my coveted miniature "spy" camera! I love and admire Art in all forms, and believe that through Art we express the best qualities of being human. Art, Nature and Balance have always had a special meaning for me. Long ago, I understood that I personally don't have the artistic talent to draw, paint, sculpt or sing. Yet just by stepping outside my front door with my camera, I found incredible satisfaction in trying to photograph the drawings, paintings, sculptures (and listen to the music) that Mother Earth has already provided for us. My primary goal as a photographer is to create images that will be appropriate for virtually every type of communication between people. We never really know what emotions others may be going through in their lives at any given time; they may be grieving, celebrating, in transition or experiencing a myriad of other feelings. With my images, I want to convey that as long as we humans draw breath, we're never truly alone. We are each part of this incredibly elegant planet Mother Earth. Every one of us contributes to the Balance in our world. Each of us is important. We matter. We are part of this beauty. I believe that the more we surround ourselves with Art, the more Balanced we feel with Nature and within ourselves. To me, there is no greater gift for anyone we care about than the gift of Art.
