Biography:
My name is Rochelle Haisley. I am a 33 year old self-taught photographer and self portrait artist with degrees in both Fashion Design and Fashion Marketing.
Although my love for photography started four years ago, it was not until two years ago, after a six-year battle with Crohn's Disease ended, that I started taking self portraits.
In the depths of my suffering, I realized the importance of listening to my inner voice and living life to the fullest. Taking self portraits allowed me to release emotions and nurture my creative soul, two things essential to my well being and happiness. My self portraits are like the pages of my diary, inspired by life, dramatically displayed.
Sharing my emotions and creativity with the world was, and still is, immensely healing and therapeutic.
My photography is my voice. I pour my soul into my self portraits and have grown tremendously as a person and artist because of it.
My hope is that my images stir emotions, provoke connections and inspire. I look foward to where life and art will take me and welcome it with open arms.
