Biography:
Gianni Cipriano is a photojournalist currently based in New York. He graduated in the 2007/08 Documentary Photography and Photojournalism Program at the International Center of Photography in New York. He is currently a freelance photographer for the New York Times and is doing an internship with Ron Haviv, one of the founding photojournalists of the VII agency.
Gianni Cipriano was awarded a Director’s Fellowship from the International Center of Photography in February 2008.rnTwo of his essays, In the land of black coats and The exterminators, have been published in the New York Times.rnAmerican Photography has selected one his photographs for the 2008 book “AP24”.rnHe is among the winners of the 2008 Editorial Photographers contest.rnTwo photographs, from the series In the land of black coats and Where beauty softens your grief received an honorable mention by the American Society of Media Photographers of New York.
