Chicago, IL
Biography:
Born in Benton Harbor, Michigan I grew up in an environment where beauty was something that took time and patience to find. After living my first 18 years there I spent some time exploring environmentalism realizing that I was better equipped documenting it rather than saving it. After studying photography at Columbia College I have spent the past 11 years exploring those same streets as well as Chicago, Detroit, NY and the small American towns in between.
Inspired by master photographers Lee Friedlander and Gary Winogrand, my photography is based on impulse and exploration. My main focus is documenting the era and environment in which I’ve landed. I want future generations to experience the feeling of this time and come close to the ghosts that once walked its streets.
