Biography:
I'm Crista Leonard, 26 years old from a Canadian/British background but brought up in Andorra, France, Spain and Switzerland.
I grew up in the mountains, first in the Pyrenees and then in the Alps and now I’m back in the Pyrenees. I’m an only child, an obsessive tea drinker and a lover of old objects especially cameras and furniture. My childhood spent in the mountains was both isolated and incredibly free, it allowed me to develop my imagination without any outside pressure. At university I studied film, anthropology and eventually photography. I liked it so much I kept on doing it and it just became a form of catharsis for me, a way of releasing all the pent up images.
Now I've thrown myself to the Gods as I'm embarking on a tentative freelance career. I have made the decision to move away from my beloved mountains, I need to see other mountains, other deserts other cities. New York would be a wonderful chance, a new environment a new way of life.
