Biography:
Lauren Bilanko is a photographer shooting narratives and portraits in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY.
She is currently in production of a female lead science fiction short film, shot in still images. (reference : La Jetée, 1962)
The story is about time travel, reality and the consequences of our actions.
Vivian Greenleaf, a scientist, is experimenting with human intelligence in 1959. She time travels to 2068 and must get back to fix what has gone wrong.
Bilanko slows down the viewing process allowing the audience to focus on detail by using still images. She asks us to look at how the decisions we make in the present affect the future.
Shooting for this project begins in July 2010.
