Biography:
Just like any body and everybody, I have many faces.
I was born and bred in northern Japan, and came to America for college and later graduate school. At first I was just a Japanese person, and then I was a Japanese student who came to America, then later, I became a Japanese person who had lived in America for years. Having spent a little shy of a decade in America now, I occasionally find myself Americanized, yet far from being American. When I'm in Japan, I cannot quite be just a Japanese person any more, but a Japanese person who have lived in America. People look at you and treat you differently based on their knowledge of who you are and what you are. We have different faces we put on when we interact with different people.
I am a daughter to my mother, a little sister to my sister, and a youngest grandchild to my grand mother. I am a student sometimes, an employee, and a colleague other times. I am happy, mean, gentle, and awkward.
I've only got one set of body, but I am many things and they are all who I am.
