Biography:
My name is Sheila, I studied Art & Design and have been working as an art director for many years at advertising agencies. I always been fond of collages, photography, history of Art, mythology, classical movies. Three years ago my personal life changed completely. My emotional beliefs fell apart. My sense of self was failing. It felt like I was crossing some kind of ruthless desert. Then one day I got my camera and started taking self-portraits. I started to see them inserted in classical paintings - so I followed that. I started to see symbolic meanings and followed those. From deep within I felt a great sense of fun and purpose and so I kept at it. Until I had 16 images. Why? I don't know. Art and life are deeply connected. It is so essential to humans that it's linked to a survival instinct. When you have to express yourself artistically and can't explain why you have to do it, it feels so right, so true. I believe that creativity makes it possible for each and everyone to achieve his/her true greatness.
