Biography:
I am William Oberlin. Among many things I qualify myself as an architect, a photographer and a furniture designer. I believe that what unites those three fields as well as all the art forms is at root drawing. At least it is for me. As far back as I can remember I was drawing. Drawing is one of humanities earliest achievements and all image based artworks, whether they know it or not, are subject to it's primacy. To draw is to create a mental map of your subject in a way the camera or the computer rendering can only mimic. In short, it is for this reason that I was forced to draw myself for this particular exercise. No other medium could identify me, william, in quite the same way.
