Biography:
I'm a Dutch photo enthusiast.
My Sphinx cats are the reason I re-started taking photo's. Their features are uncommon and most people find them unattractive so I wanted to show their beauty and kindness through photography.
Using Flickr as my main portal I soon became connected with a lot of other photographers and enthusiasts.
This led me to starting a 365 portrait project, making one self portrait everyday. The project brought me in contact with even more interesting people and a heap of creative and technical knowledge and kept me interested to do a 2010 version.
I have a deep interest in light and textures, and the way they interact. Not only do I enjoy life through the lens, but I constantly push my mind to see further than the frame presented. I try to enhance or rework the image and open it up for new interpretation.
The stories I tell are mostly personal and I'm lucky my persona has a dreamy look on the world.
I enjoy doing photography, photo-manipulation, design, good food and being an overall weirdo ;-)
