Biography:
At 24, April has been taking photos for over ten years. It was during an entry level b&w college class in 2003 that she first started taking herself seriously as a photographer. “During high school I dabbled in practically every imaginable artform. I was looking for a creative outlet. Photography was the only medium I was able to control the way I wanted to.” In 2005 April switched to color film and experimented with alternative developing process at the Seattle photo lab that employed her. April’s portraits of the people and things around her started gaining plenty of attention among her peers. She began shooting band portraits, which landed her photos in album artwork and music magazines. After completing a commercial photography degree from Seattle Central CC, April set out to focus on personal photo projects. She currently resides in Santa Barbara, CA, where she is developing her fine art digital photography.
